01 / KEYBOARD FOOTPRINT

Start with
the space.

Keyboard size affects available keys, desk footprint and where certain functions are positioned. Use this visualiser as a general guide; exact arrangements vary by model.

SELECTED FORMATFULL SIZE / 100%
01

Full Size

Generally includes the main typing area, function row, navigation keys, arrow keys and a dedicated number pad.

  • Function row
  • Arrow keys
  • Dedicated number pad

02 / PHYSICAL LAYOUT

ANSI and ISO are
not the same shape.

Physical layout matters if you prefer a particular Enter key arrangement or intend to replace keycaps.

ANSIHORIZONTAL ENTER

ANSI-style layouts commonly use a wider horizontal Enter key and a particular arrangement around the left Shift key.

ISOTALL ENTER

ISO-style layouts commonly use a taller Enter key and differ around several neighbouring keys.

LEGENDS ≠ PHYSICAL LAYOUT

Printed keycap legends and the physical key arrangement are related, but they are not identical. Review both the product photographs and written layout information.

03 / SWITCH LAB

Feel and sound are
personal.

Switch categories can provide noticeably different typing experiences. No one category is universally better for every customer.

ACTIVE PROFILE

Linear

Generally travels without a deliberately pronounced tactile bump.

Check the model page for the switch configuration actually supplied.

HOT-SWAPPABLE

Tool-based removal—where supported.

A hot-swappable keyboard is designed to accept compatible removable switches without conventional soldering. It does not mean every switch automatically fits.

SOLDERED

Electrically attached to the PCB.

Soldered switches are not intended for ordinary hot-swap removal. Never assume every mechanical keyboard is hot-swappable.

3-PIN
5-PIN

Check both the socket specification and replacement-switch pin configuration before installation.

04 / KEYCAP FIT

Colour is only
one variable.

Replacement keycaps must match the board’s physical requirements. A set should never be assumed to fit every mechanical keyboard.

KEYCAP PROFILE

Shape and height can change the feel.

Some profiles vary between rows while others are more uniform. Use the individual product specifications where profile information is relevant.

05 / CONNECTION CONSOLE

Wireless is not
one single mode.

Only treat a keyboard as supporting a connection method when that method is stated for the specific model.

06 / SYSTEM & FEATURES

Basic typing and advanced features can differ.

Operating-system support, shortcuts, software and lighting controls are model-specific.

01Windows and macOS+

A keyboard may provide basic typing with more than one operating system while shortcuts, key legends, software or advanced functions differ. Check the model page.

02Software and customisation+

Lighting control, remapping and other software features should only be expected when they are stated for the specific model and supported system.

03Backlighting and RGB+

Lighting features vary. Photography, exposure, room lighting and display settings can also affect perceived colour or brightness.

04Physical connectors+

A connector appearing physically similar does not confirm that every device, cable or function will be supported.

07 / DESK MAT FIT

Measure first.
Compare second.

Lifestyle imagery gives context, but exact product dimensions should determine whether a desk mat fits your available surface.

YOUR NOTE

Enter the usable width and depth, then compare both measurements with the exact desk-mat dimensions on the product page.

PRODUCT PAGES TAKE PRIORITY

General guidance is not a model specification.

The specifications, compatibility details and package contents on the individual BROVOXEL product page take priority for that product.

THIRD-PARTY EQUIPMENT

Check both products.

If you intend to use a BROVOXEL product with third-party switches, keycaps, computers, adapters or other equipment, compare the specifications of both items. A reference to a third-party standard does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
